This is the Dark Side e.p. It is a collection of tracks that were produced in one of the lowest points in my musical career, at the time these were made I was suffering from depression and anxiety and my performance started to get effected immensely by it, I was getting really drunk at shows and not performing to the best of my abilities, grabbing the microphone for slurred rants and generally acting foolish. I thought I would compile some of these tracks to give my fans a glimpse of my thoughts and feelings, I have never really done any releases with a “theme” so this is a first for me, showing a picture of my frame of mind in audible form. As usual the tracks are a range of bpm’s and genres. I have always wanted to be as diverse a producer as possible, I feel that the way we segregate ourselves in society by our views, beliefs and differentiate ourselves from our fellow humans using any parameter we can has a detrimental effect on society, so I have always wanted to appeal to people from all walks of life and have always tried to make things that will appeal to a broad audience. I have set the e.p up as a pay what you like release so that those on a low income can experience it for free if they cannot afford to buy. However if people can donate I would be immensely grateful. I will be donating 50% of the profits from this e.p to mental health charity MIND, for full disclosure the other 50% will be used to fund a new computer for production as my current machine is on its last legs and I really don’t want to lose everything I have made again like I did in around 2009. I am not sure how listening to this ep will affect people who suffer from the same ailments as I, I would like to hear from people as to whether it makes them feel better or worse, I shall shortly releasing another ep of my latest work to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel and these things do pass with enough persistence and a certain degree of hubris. I hope that I haven’t bored anyone with this rather long accompaniment to the music, please have a listen and most importantly please be kind and loving to each other, we only get to live once and we might as well make it as pleasant as possible for everyone we encounter in this incredible adventure.
